Why RE SKIN takes a different approach to ingredients

RE SKIN doesn't work based on trends, but on principles:
We select every substance so that it

Many skin problems are not caused by “too little active ingredient” but by too many irritating additives.
Therefore, our formulations are based on a reduced, clear and highly effective active ingredient system.

The most important ingredient groups at RE SKIN

Peptides

Modern signaling molecules that bring regeneration, firmness, and calm to the skin.
They stimulate the skin's natural repair mechanisms and have a visibly smoothing effect – without the risk of irritation.

Important peptides for us:

  • Matrixyl 3000

  • Argireline

  • Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4

  • Barrier-strengthening oligopeptides

Peptides are a central building block of our formulations, but not the only one.

5-fold Hyaluron

We work with different hyaluronic sizes simultaneously:

  • High molecular: smooths the surface

  • Low molecular: penetrates deeper and binds moisture

  • Cross-linked hyaluron: stores water for a particularly long time

  • Oligo-hyaluron: specifically plumps

  • Ultra-low molecular hyaluron: provides deep-acting hydration

The result is even, long-lasting hydration without pilling or a heavy feeling.

Stable Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate)

This form of Vitamin C is:

  • Antioxidant

  • Anti-inflammatory

  • Antibacterial

  • Brightening and balancing

  • Particularly non-irritating

Unlike ascorbic acid, it doesn't oxidize quickly, doesn't sting, and supports sensitive skin with blemishes, redness, and a dull complexion.

Ceramides

Ceramides are the most important building block of the skin barrier.
Our formulations contain Ceramides NP in combination with DMS, which mimics the natural lipid structure of the skin.

Advantages:

  • Barrier becomes more stable

  • Moisture loss decreases

  • The skin appears smoother and calmer

Nourishing plant oils of pharmaceutical quality

Among others:

  • Shea butter

  • Rice bran oil

  • Kukui nut oil

  • Squalane

  • Jojoba oil

These oils are particularly well-tolerated, soothing, and antioxidant.
They are never formulated to be comedogenic and harmonize perfectly with DMS.

Botanical Extracts

We consciously work with a reduced number of ingredients, but use specific ones:

  • Magnolia Officinalis (soothing, antioxidant)

  • Algae and Marine extracts (mineralizing, strengthening)

These extracts support the skin during stress and irritation without overdoing it.

Why our active ingredients work so well together

DMS as a base

DMS (Derma Membrane Structure) is the core of our formulations.
It mimics the natural structure of the skin barrier. This means:
