RE SKIN develops skincare based on skin biology – not on trends. This page provides an overview of the active ingredients and principles that define our formulations, as well as the scientific foundations upon which we build them.


Our Approach

We believe in skincare that works with the skin – not against it. Therefore, we rely on well-researched active ingredients, skin-mimicking formulations, and a minimalist, well-considered combination of individual components. The goal is to support the skin in rebalancing its natural functions.


Matrixyl® Peptides

Peptides such as Palmitoyl Pentapeptide‑4 (Matrixyl®) act as signaling molecules in the skin. Studies show that certain peptides can support collagen synthesis and thus contribute to improved skin structure. In cosmetic formulations, they are used to assist the skin in its regenerative processes – without irritating or overwhelming the skin.


Oligomeric & Modified Hyaluronic Acids

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin and plays a central role in moisture, elasticity, and cell communication. Different molecular sizes fulfill different functions. Low-molecular-weight and modified forms can intensely hydrate the skin's surface and support the absorption of other active ingredients.


Skin-Identical DMS Lipids Systems

DMS (Derma Membrane Structures) systems mimic the natural structure of the skin barrier. They consist of skin-related lipids and are free of traditional emulsifiers. As a result, they are particularly well recognized and integrated by the skin – an approach especially valued for sensitive or imbalanced skin.


Stable Vitamin C Derivatives

Vitamin C is a key active ingredient in dermatological research. Stable derivatives ensure good tolerability and protect the skin from oxidative stress. Studies show that Vitamin C can support skin structure and be involved in collagen formation, without unnecessarily irritating the skin.


Our Understanding of Efficacy

For us, efficacy does not mean immediate effects, but rather understandable, biologically meaningful processes. Every active ingredient at RE SKIN is used in a way that supports the skin – not dominates it.
