Cosmetics by Skin Tone

At RE SKIN, we see no reason to differentiate products by skin tone.
For all people, skincare must consider the skin's needs, as the basic structure of the skin is the same for everyone.
Here are the essential differences and characteristics: In all ethnic groups, roughly the same number of pigment cells, melanocytes, are found in the skin. However, their activity, structure, and grouping differ. For example, the pigment granules formed in the melanocytes are finer and more evenly distributed in darker skin types, while they appear densely grouped in lighter skin types.
Lighter skin offers little protection against UV radiation, but it is capable of forming vitamin D in the skin with low sun exposure, even in areas of the world with low sun intensity. Dark skin contains a high concentration of melanin and is therefore less sensitive to UV radiation and other visible signs of UV damage, such as wrinkles and changes in skin texture. The higher oil content of dark skin also helps protect the skin from signs of aging and makes it age several years later than lighter skin. The outermost skin layer, the stratum corneum, is also denser and more compact in darker skin types than in lighter skin. Its middle skin layer, the dermis, is also thicker, and thus the connective tissue cells are larger and more active than those of lighter skin. However, the ceramide and lipid content - responsible for moisture and renewal of the skin's protective barrier - is lower in dark skin. Consequently, it is more prone to dryness.
